Growing onions is simple; if you can poke a hole into the ground, you can grow an onion from a little plant.
1. You can get onions seeds, plant, and later transplant or purchase the seedlings instead.
2. You can plant directly into the ground or you can also plant on raised beds.
3. Make sure you space onion plants 6 inches apart in rows that are 12 inches apart.
