158: Online Primary History Sources

In this episode, you can learn why you would want to use online primary history sources as well as where you can find them. One use would be if your child is competing in National History Day which I talk about in episode 5.

The 4 sources I mention are:

  • eyewitnesstohistory.com – firsthand accounts of events
  • Library of Congress digital collection – The Polish birthday “card” can be found here
  • Chronicling America – digitized newspapers from 1777-1963
  • Smithsonian history explorer: Th ledgeer I talk about can be found here
  • The FundaFunda Academy history classes and unit studies I mention are:

    • Who’s Who in World War 2 for 5th – 8th grade
    • World War 2 Year by Year – for 4th to 8th grade
    • US History (Hons) for 9th – 12th grade
    • ————————————————————————————————–

Take a look at show sponsor, FundaFunda Academy to see what they offer for online classes and web-based unit studies.
