Most English Bible translations leave out -only-begotten-, and in its place in John 3-16 and elsewhere, put something like, -One and only.---However, when Paul preaches to Jews and Gentiles-a collection representing all humanity-he depends on Psalm 2, which refers to Jesus as -only-begotten-- -Today I have begotten you,- Paul tells his hearers. --Of all the places Paul could've quoted from the Old Testament, what is it about this Psalm 2 concept of -begottenness- that Paul thought he needed in Acts 13-
