For the final segment of our PDX artist mini series, it’s a pleasure to share the music of Moonchild. Moonchild is the mind behind the celebrated Portland party series, ODYSSEY. They’ve long been a community advocate for electronic music, booking and promoting events since 1997. ODYSSEY, now coming up on its 111th edition, is a safe space for freaks and lovers – a place for music heads to lose themselves outside the confines of establishment venues. It’s worth noting that each of our 4 previous Portland artists have been invited by Moonchild to play ODYSSEY parties, as has DTH co-founder, Debbie. As both a host and DJ, Moonchild’s tastes are quite varied, spanning many genres and eras. This recording is the final 2 hours of a 5 hour DJ set played by Moonchild at their birthday party last summer.
