Tupac’s words and actions in life at times echo our own. He went through life doing life his way. He seemed to be keenly aware of God and even acknowledged His presence from time to time. And yet, this seeming awareness of a judgement did nothing to prevent it. He knew God could judge him, but did he realize that God would judge him?

The nation of Judah was living in a time of seeming spiritual prosperity. Under the rule of the godly young King Josiah, there was a national spiritual reform, and yet, God saw beneath the surface of it all. He knew that even though the high places had been torn down, His people were still idolatrous in their hearts. They were aware of Him and even acknowledged His presence from time to time. He was going to bring forth a coming judgement through the nation of Babylon and this message was delivered by the prophet Zephaniah.
