ONpodcast #57 Small Sounds mit Corné Roos (und Ezequiel Menalled)
Gibt es einzelne Klänge? Kann man einen Klang aus seinem Kontext lösen und was geschieht, wenn man ihn de- und rekontextualisiert? Welche Strukturen sind in einem Klang selbst inbegriffen? Lassen sich daraus Formen extrapolieren? Fragen aus der ersten Folge „Small Sounds“.
Corné Roos aus Köln lädt Ezequiel Menalled aus Den Haag und Buenos Aires ein, den kleinen Klängen zu folgen. Die beiden Komponisten präsentieren im Rahmen des ONpodcast ihre gemeinsame künstlerische Forschung: Sie haben aus den Stücken anderer Musikschaffender Klänge entnommen und daraus eine Datenbank angelegt. In ihren beiden Folgen im November fragen sie, wie mit diesem Material umgegangen werden kann.
Das künstlerische Forschungsprojekt wird unterstützt vom Goethe-Institut.

Is there such a thing as a single sound? Can you resolve a sound from its context and what happens to it, when it is de- and recontextualized? Which structures are contained inside a sound? Can you extrapolate large forms from it? Questions from the first episode of “Small Sounds”.
Corné Roos from Cologne invites Ezequiel Menalled from Den Haag and Buenos Aires to follow the small sounds. With the ONpodcast, the two composers present their joint artistic research: they extracted sounds from other musical pieces and built up a database from them. In the two episodes they examine, what can be done with the material.
The artistic research project is generously supported by the Goethe-Institut.
