Ian McCallum, an Indigenous language educator and Shelby Lisk, our Ontario Hubs reporter on Indigenous issues, have both embarked on learning the languages of their family ancestry. For McCallum that's Lunaape, and he's one of only a handful of people who understand it. For Lisk, it's Mohawk.
