Jake and Daniel talk about the concept of the Dark Night of the Soul, a concept written by St. John of the Cross, and referenced in many places. The Dark Night of the Soul, or the Wall as Peter Scazzero calls it, is this point in one's faith journey where their practices and faith no longer seem to work. The person who is in the dark night feels distant from the Divine as if they are no longer present or moving in their life. So Jake and Daniel discuss how this is where deconstruction starts, if not happens in its entirety.
New segments: Gabe's Petty Prayers (Gabe Gonzalez) and It's the F*cking News! where we talk about Joshua Harris and the ridiculousness of Christianity Today in The Rise and Fall of Mars Hill trying to elevate him as the Deconstruction Daddy. So this gets a little personal.
