Today’s Scripture:

‭‭2 Chronicles 7:15 NIV‬

Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.

As we mentioned yesterday, looking to the Son reminds us that if my people who are called my name will humble themselves and pray, I will respond and heal their lands.

Now, God is saying I will give open eyes and attentive ears to your prayer. He is saying that if we humble ourselves and pray, we will experience God’s Openness towards us, to see and to respond. He will hear our cry. However, this does not happen unless we pray and turn from our wicked ways.

God’s eyes are open to us, and his ears are attentive to us when we repent. He is not attentive unto us when we are not repentant; when he sees our attention and sees us praying, he will have attentive ears and open eyes. You might have prayed and wondered why God has not responded; sometimes, it is because he knows that we have not given him our all and we have not turned from our wicked ways.

When we turn to God and repent, he will turn his open eyes and attentive ears to us. God wants all of you; bring all of you to him. Walk in repentance, and he will give you his undivided attention.
