OpenAI and the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) are to launch the National Academy for AI Instruction. The role of artificial intelligence in education is changing fast, and I'd say it's growing.

This five-year initiative aims to empower 400,000 K-12 educators across the U.S. by providing them with training and resources to effectively integrate artificial intelligence into their classrooms.

OpenAI is contributing $10 million in funding and in-kind resources to support the Academy, which will establish a flagship facility in New York City and expand nationally.

The goal is to ensure that teachers lead the conversation on how AI is used and developed in education, prioritizing critical thinking and equitable access to technology.
