There are a number of data center orchestration applications, including services by VMWare, RackSpace, Amazon, Microsoft Azure, and others. They primarily use and are designed around the limitations of IPv4. Several projects have looked at using IPv6 in addition or instead, but have conceptual problems when they mirror the IPv4 design.
