Hailing from Houston, Texas, Opie Hendrix is telling the truth from where he stands.
Born in Indiana, Hendrix moved to Texas to attend the Art Institute of Houston in 1992. He hasn’t left since. 
That decision has paid off earning him two Houston Press Awards for Best Roots Rock. His musical path has taken him on national tours and onto iconic stages such as New York City’s CBGB’s (and the Mucky Duck!)

7 Questions from Shane is an interview series featuring musicians who perform at McGongiel's Mucky Duck, a small club in Houston, Texas. The Duck hosts an average of 8 shows a week and features local acts and national touring performers.

We began the interviews as a part of our The Live from Norfolk Street concert recording series as a way to help maintain the connection between our performing artists and their audiences during the COVID-19 pandemic. We liked it so much that we've kept going...We hope you like it too.
