BC may be the first province to treat addiction as a medical health issue and offer drugs to patients in order to adminster in a safe and monitored environment.  Our guest was was a member of the injectable opioid agonist treatment guideline committee. She’s also spent time working at Crosstown Clinic in Vancouver, the only clinic in Canada where injectable hydromorphone and prescription heroin are available treatments for opioid addiction.
