Viktor Frankl wrote that there is a moment in-between the Impulse and the Response. John Blythe calls that moment opportunity.



Opportunity is not the moment where you get to give the big speech, shoot the game winning three-pointer, or propose to your girlfriend. Opportunity is in the practices, workouts, and dates leading to that pivotal moment. 

John Blythe is Vice President of Engineering at Combined Curiosity, a company that helps adults learn new hobbies like guitar or gardening. As an engineer, John builds people, platforms, and products (in that order). John finds himself as the Vice President of a growing tech company because he took the next step in front of him. This radical curiosity is what prepared him for the work he is doing right now.
