The Bible instructs us to be obedient to constituted authorities. However, civil disobedience, such as shown by Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the Bible, and religious disobedience, such as shown by Martin Luther the Reformer, against the Catholic Church, shows that disobedience is sometimes necessary.
