Celebrity cults have always been an intriguing topic, particularly in the last few years. Many postings, forums, and discussions have been devoted to cultural phenomena in our vast online environment. In Opus, director Mark Anthony Green, a former writer for GQ, combines the worlds of journalism with the cult of fame. The recluse Moretti, who wants to record his first album in 30 years and thinks it is the greatest he has ever made, invites Ariel, a writer portrayed by Ayo Edibiri, to a secluded retreat. Although the premise is entertaining, the setup and execution are somewhat recognizable.
