With GCU hosting UTA this Thursday, I just could not stop thinking about the 2024 WAC Title Game. Infamously, Colin Moore took the ball late in the game and did a windmill, an exclamation point as the Lopes punched their ticket. He would get pushed by a Maverick, and another player would throw the ball at him. So I was wondering… What happened to lead to this? I went back and recapped the two regular season games and pointed out moments of contention and how the games played out, which included two big GCU comeback wins. Then I watched the Championship game from front to back, and pointed out any skirmish, shove, and technical foul that may have also lead to the C Mo dunk and reaction. GCU Senior guard Colin Moore provides input at multiple junctures, including a few minutes on what he was thinking leading up to the dunk, and pulling it off in real time.
