Luke 2 verses 1 to 7 lay it out plainly for us—Mary and Joseph, humble themselves, had to make that journey to Bethlehem because of a government decree. And there’s no room for them at the inn. So, they found themselves in this makeshift space, where Jesus would be born. Now think about it. The Savior of the world, the one foretold by the prophets, didn’t come into this world with, you know, fanfare or extravagance. He came in the most unassuming way. Why? Because it’s a testament, a vivid demonstration of God’s alignment with humility and simplicity.
