The WordPress community is global and diverse. Since its inception in 2003, WordPress now claims 29% of the web across the entire internet. WordCamps, now supported by the official WordCamp entity, are non-profit events that strive to evangelize WordPress and educate users, designers, and developers and exist in over 45 countries annually. However, WordCamps are not the only events focusing on WordPress held each year. For-profit conferences such as LoopConf and Post Status Publish have taken a for-profit approach to education. Listen in as we interview lead organizer of LoopConf, Ryan Sullivan, and dig into his reasoning and experiences running one of the biggest private WordPress events in the world.
