Laura Cortez is a community organizer and the co-executive director of East Yard Communities for Environmental Justice, a non profit fighting towards a safe and healthy environment for communities such as East Los Angeles, Southeast LA (SELA), and Long Beach, who are disproportionately suffering from the negative impacts of industrial pollution.
