You've probably heard of the term 'original sin.' But is this a real thing?

When theologians talk about 'original sin,' they're saying that mankind comes into this world with a sinful nature. But others disagree, saying that man is born innocent (or at least neutral), and only later becomes sinful. Which is correct?
