Papergirl Radio

Origins of Papergirl

Listen Later

Papergirl is coming to Brooklyn!

But what is Papergirl, and who started this trend of giving away art for free by bike? Papergirl-Brooklyn organizers Sina Basila Hickey and Annie Del Hierro debut Papergirl Radio by going back to the origins of Papergirl

Sina, who has previously organized Papergirl projects, talked with Aisha Ronniger, the founder of Papergirl, to talk about the origins of this project and what it does for a community. Sina also spoke with Fatherless, Addison Karl, and Luna Park about why they are again participating in Papergirl ten years later, the impact of public art, the importance of building connections with your community, having a political voice, and more.
