I cannot emphasize this enough: other people believed in me before I could believe in myself and I am eternally grateful for this.
Two years ago, a medium stopped my reading three minutes in and said: you know you're a medium, right?
I felt .. dismayed to say the least. Not excited. Not gleeful. Nothing. I was at the peak of my painting prolificness, churning out paintings before and after my nine to five; I wanted to yell at her: NO, I"M AN ARTIST.
But I knew she was right. I KNEW I could speak with my dear brother, passed on, and slowly, others of passed on family members started poking their heads through the veil.
I didn't allow myself to consider: can I talk to other people on the other-side? What else can I do?
Because I knew what that would mean. It would mean that all of the times I felt I knew something, but was told I was "insane" or "crazy", I actually did know. It meant that those people-- family, friends, were only family by blood and friends by their standard.
It meant if I could access information and loved ones from the other side.. The rest of my life would be inservice to other people. Success as a knower and a seer is contingent upon the things you know and see being of benefit to other people. It's not a one man arena.
My ego had other plans. I wasn't ready. So I did what every main character of their own story does — I turned away from my destiny and pretended I didn't see it. OSTRICH IN THE SAND, PEOPLE.
The universe DID NOT LET UP YA'LL. Just a few months later, I had my first paying clients. I WAS NOT LOOKING FOR CLIENTS. But these people had desire to reconnect with their loved ones, and I could do that for them. And these people believed in me, before I believed in me.
Grief wore away at the veil and I was able to connect with my soulmate and brother, with in months of recognizing this, I was then in communication with other passed on family, then it was my closest friend's parent and past live information, and finally, within six months, I was connecting strangers to their loved ones. All of this, because one medium, one friend, and about a half a dozen women I'd met a community event believed in me before I believed in me.
Nobody has ever seemed more surprised by what I can do than me. Two years in, this still rings true.
Sometimes, other people can see us more clearly than we can see ourselves. Their belief in me changed my life. Consider letting someone's belief in you change yours.
A story that starts with a password and ends in an ego death. In the beautiful words of Jordan Peterson, "I've never seen someone lie and get away with it."
The truth will always come out, not matter how deeply one might try to bury it.

Mistee shares her origin story — born into a the Church Universal Triumphant Cult in Montana, raised in a conservative Christian church after her mother left the cult, and growing up with an undiagnosed borderline mother and a NPD- trait adopted father. She had no positive exposure to spirituality. After her brother died at 19, she left the church dramatically, fell into nihilism, stopped making art, and spent years escaping through hyperrationalism. In her mid-20s, a toxic but spiritually catalytic relationship introduced her to Jungian archetypes and meaning . Mistee shares the backstory of her relationship with her biological mother, who she calls "Jab." Through remote viewing and channeling, she believes they've shared 34–37 past lifetimes together, in which Jab — a non-human entity who needs a host to reincarnate on Earth — has killed her roughly 27 times. In this lifetime, Jab couldn't directly kill her (due to a spiritual rule/contract) but allegedly orchestrated dangerous situations throughout Mistee's childhood. In January 2026, Mistee flew home, confronted her mother at dinner, and cut off contact permanently. She says her goal in choosing this family was to be the one to finally stop Jab from returning to Earth.
