The construction of this building was stopped in 2012 due to the bankruptcy of the construction company.
The mayor of Orihuela, Emilio Bascuñana, has stated that the works will be completed before summer 2021.
These facilities have a total area of 4,700 square metres where the permanent location of the following emergency services is planned:
Local Police for 24 hours with 30 agents (with the possibility of up to 60 agents)
National Police (immigration service)
Civil Guard (complaint processing office)
Heliport
SAMU ambulance (only in summer for 12 hours a day)
Civil protection
Red Cross
Municipal tow truck depot
Basic Life Support Ambulance (BLS) (pending)
Forest firefighters (pending)
