Before Jesus was sent to die on the cross, we were separated from God, orphaned from His great love for us. But because of Jesus we have been adopted into the Family of God. Our response to orphans must be swift and intentional. We must Open our hearts, recognize our responsibility, prevent oppression, help in practical ways, accept them into families, and never forget the role of the church.
