Each year, we celebrate our graduating OSL students.  This year we celebrated 22 graduating students, 17 undergraduate and 5 graduate.  Our annual event is called the OSL Commissioning Service.  It is entirely produced by our current OSL students, including the stage design, production, worship leading, hosting, etc.  

We do not celebrate our graduates the way that the traditional university would - we leave that up to our partnering universities.  Instead, the OSL Commissioning Service is a culmination of all of the students' hard work and leadership development over the last several years.  We essentially put an exclamation point on their experience by praying for them and commissioning them out.  They do walk across the stage and they do receive gifts from Oaks Church and the Oaks School of Leadership -- but the service is so much more than that.  Our board, elders, pastoral and administrative staff, along with student families, all show up to pray over each student.  Each and every year it is one of the most powerful services held at Oaks Church.
