Welcome to the first episode of Otanime! This show is all about geeking out over animation produced by the Japanese. Each month we'll talk about the latest anime series and movies and of course, talk about the old-school stuff which everything is built around.

On this inaugural episode, we each tell our Anime origin stories. We got into this form of animation during different eras and for different reason. We get into why we love Anime and why we think it's one of the best forms of animation created by man.

As will be standard for every episode, we go in deep about all of the anime we're currently watching. We also talk about the anime we hope to watch in the coming months. Finally, we'll talk about the Anime of the month which is a show all of us have watched.
