With Terrifier 3 on the way, and both Terrifier and Terrifier 2 showing up on almost every streaming platform, like my beloved Prime Video, I thought it might be time to revisit this interview. Enjoy!
Terrifier panel moderated by Tim Kretschmann of Otherworldly Culture
Terrifier II shocked the world this past Halloween season, opening at 886 screens, eventually expanding to 1,550, and grew to a gross of $10 million domestically and over a million more in international markets led by Mexico beyond our shores. The public was not yet aware of the world dominated by a smiling psychopath hiding under white and black facepaint.
Art the Clown first appeared in the short film The 9th Circle in 2008. He joined feature films in the anthology All Hallow’s Eve in 2013. Damien Leone, the writer, director and effects artist, went on to launch the Terrifier franchise in 2016 introducing a new actor in the role, David Howard Thornton. Horror Realm now welcomes to the stage the creator and portrayer of the smiling son of Satan, Art the Clown.

Dead On Thursdays presents Dead on the Bases this week! This is usually where I try to find a connection between our two movies…yeah, I got nothing. Oh, hold on. Gran Turismo (2023) is about auto racing and Predator 2 (1990) has a scene with some cars in it. There you go! (They both also feature stars that people thought were going to be A-List, but didn’t quite make it…that’s a little mean so we’ll stick to the car thing.) Like soup or spam, this is an episode that will stay with you from the sides to the center.
The theme to “Dead On The Bases” is a mix of Kevin McLeod’s “Ballgame” and “Halls of the Undead” from the YouTube Music Library.

Entering into second inning, we go into the Eighties for two modern classics in their genres. That we hadn’t reviewed these two films before the 9th season is remarkable. The Ump discovers the twist ending (and somehow avoids spoiling) on Friday the 13th (1980). The Vamp arrives at the Field of Dreams (1989) to mourn the loss of James Earl Jones.
