The focus was to let ideas flowing and see where it leads. 
By doing that, I practice producing music and I let the obvious coming out of my mind and learn from those.

Vivien is a Belgian-born, Melbourne-based electronic music artist known for his immersive, groove-driven sets and refined sonic identity. With roots in vinyl and a deep connection to rhythm, his sound draws on a rich tapestry of influences—shaped by his Belgo-Congolese heritage, international travels, and a decade-plus behind the decks.

Since beginning his journey in 2010, Vivien has developed a distinctive style that spans melodic techno, progressive, electro, and minimal. After relocating to Melbourne in 2016, he quickly embedded himself in the city’s vibrant underground scene, earning a reputation for sets that balance energy, precision, and emotional depth.

His influences include artists like Pig&Dan, Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, and Sven Väth—figures whose forward-thinking approach mirrors Vivien’s own evolution. He has supported global acts including Nina Kraviz, Helena Hauff, James Zabiela, Umek, Tinlicker, and Yotto.
In 2018, Vivien won the Your Shot DJ competition in Melbourne, leading to a standout debut on the City Steps stage at CRSSD Festival in San Diego (USA)—a slot he was invited to reprise in 2019. His international experience also includes sets at Spin and Bang Bang (San Diego), and Le Clan (Prague), alongside regular appearances at iconic Australian venues such as Revolver Upstairs, Brown Alley, New Guernica, Festival 23, Electric, and Pawn & Co.
During the global pause brought by COVID, Vivien focused on redefining his craft—developing a hybrid DJ/live setup that reflects his evolving artistry and technical depth. This period of recalibration helped deepen his connection to music production and performance, laying the groundwork for a new chapter in his creative journey.
