Dr. Vanessa Torrecillas is an assistant professor of Laryngology in the Department of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. She attended medical school at George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences and then completed otolaryngology residency training at the University of Utah. She completed a 1-year fellowship in laryngology for specific training in the management of complex voice, airway, and swallowing disorders at the University of Michigan. She has a strong interest in women physicians initiatives and medical education and will serve as the assistant program director for the ENT residency at UVA next year.
