Ottawa finalizes $10.4B sole-source contract for new surveillance planes

Nov. 30, 2023 - The federal government will buy up to 16 military surveillance planes in a multi-billion dollar deal with Boeing. Canadian aviation firm Bombardier says it is 'disappointed' in the government's decision not to launch an open competition for the contract. Defence Minister Bill Blair responds.
