Almost every diocese in America and around the world has suspended the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Some dioceses have suspended other sacraments as well. Archbishop Winton Gregory of Washington D.C. wrote, “My number one priority as your Archbishop is to ensure the safety and health of all who attend our Masses, the children in our schools, and those we welcome through our outreach and services.”
On its face, Archbishop Gregory’s statement sounds right and reasonable. But is he right? That’s the question we have to answer this week.
