Jesus said, "There is nothing outside a person that by going into him can defile him, but the things that come out of a person are what defile him... coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness." (Mark 7:15, 22). It was never the food that in and of itself was clean or unclean. It was the trust that the Lord could make it so. Do we trust that he can make us clean as well, if he says he will?
