Text: Romans 4:25
Outline:
1. Justification is an act of God whereby He forgives our sin and declares us righteous in His sight.
a. Romans 1
i. God has revealed Himself to man.
ii. Man has rejected God.
iii. Man is under the wrath of God.
b. Romans 2
i. There is no religious favoritism with God.
ii. Only perfect obedience will result in eternal life.
c. Romans 3
i. In justification, God forgives my sin through the imputation of my sin to Christ.
ii. In justification, God declares me righteous through the imputation of Christ’s righteousness to me.
d. Romans 4 – We are justified by faith.
2. Christ’s resurrection is proof of our justification.
