June is African-American Music Appreciation month and Lou and Teresa are here for it! The hosts discuss how music is essential to African-American culture and also which songs have shaped their life experiences. Teresa shares how,  after learning her days would have a bit less sunshine, Janet Jackson set things in order and helped her gain control. Lou shares how she wishes she'd had a bit more control when she recounts a long ago dance contest.
