Who can fathom the horrors we saw this week? 11 gunned down in a synagogue? Mail bombs? A shooting at the U of U?

Like King Solomon, we need extraordinary wisdom to live out God’s mission in our world today. We were created to show God's goodness and kindness. The covenants renew our call to do this even in the midst of the catastrophes we see all around us.

Our communities need reformation! Pray that we succeed in showing God's goodness and kindness in this world!

When individuals in our community resist the Spirit of God, and seek their own way instead of the common good, our house cannot stand.

When individuals in our community act as factions against each other and refuse to seek peace as commanded by our Lord, our house cannot stand.

When individuals in our community exalt themselves instead of submitting to one another and our great God and king, our house cannot stand.

Pray this prayer with me each day this week: “Lord Jesus, make us, each and every one, wise like Solomon in all that we do. Our lives are filled with worries and temptation. We fight against Your Spirit and against one another. We repent of our selfish and stiff-necked ways. Help us to be wise in your ways! Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Amen!”
