John 14:12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who

believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and

greater works than these he will do, because I go to My

Father.

● Jesus isn’t talking to apostles here.

● Jesus isn’t talking to prophets here...etc.

● Jesus is talking to believers.

● We are to duplicate the ministry of Jesus

● Can’t duplicate something you know nothing

about

● Is hard to duplicate something unless you have a

pattern to follow.

● Assembling bookcases & furniture.

● New cars off the assembly line followed a pattern

called a “prototype”.

● Jesus is our “prototype”

● Phil 2:5 Let this mind be in you which was also in

Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did

not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but

made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of

a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.

8 And being found in appearance as a man, He

humbled Himself and became obedient to the

point of death, even the death of the cross. 9

Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and

given Him the name which is above every name,

10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should

bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth,

and of those under the earth, 11 and that every

tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to

the glory of God the Father.

● Matt 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee,

teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel

of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness

and all kinds of disease among the people.

● Matt 9:35 Then Jesus went about all the cities and

villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching

the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every

sickness and every disease among the people.

● His pattern seems to be teaching, preaching, &

healing

● Matt 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent out and

commanded them, saying: “Do not go into the way

of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the

Samaritans. 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of

the house of Israel. 7 And as you go, preach,

saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ 8 Heal

the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast

out demons.
