We spent much of the week in the magic, virtual world of the internet. Where we could escape some of the realities of this terrestrial world. Reporting this week were the big 5 companies that have been the market leaders for at least the past decade.

Included in this group are Google/Alphabet, Microsoft, Face Book, Apple Computer. And with the exception of Google/Alphabet, the remaining 4 companies all reported higher earnings for the latest quarter. I should note: that 2 of those companies: Apple Computer and Amazon did so in-spite of lower sales in the quarter. Both Microsoft and Face Book, reported higher sales and higher earnings. Quite an accomplishment in this economic environment.
