Trump Indictments on Hold for Mid-Terms. The hosts for this show are Tim Apicella and Jay Fidell. The guests are Cynthia Lee Sinclair and Vicky Cayetano.
There has been a lot of discussion and hand wringing about what might happen if the former president of the United States is indicted for federal or state crimes. It's true it has never been done before. However, it happened against a sitting vice president in the summer of 1973. Spiro T. Agnew was charged and convicted of federal tax evasion. He resigned in shame and Gerald Ford became the 40th vice president in 1974. The DOJ was healthy then, and staff was not infected with the Trump loyalty virus.
Is Trump above the law? Will he get a pass or be indicted by the attorney general for crimes pertaining to taking classified documents, his role in the Jan 6 attack on the Capital, his pressure to influence Georgia's secretary of state seeking 11,780 votes, or financial crimes in NYC? Is an indictment forthcoming? Only our general attorney knows for sure.
