What’s the difference between being justified and adopted?

What does the timing of Christ’s coming teach you about God’s providence in the world and in redemption? Did Jesus come at just the right time? What does this mean for how we trust God? Are there issues in your life that you are worried about? How can knowing the providence of God help?

How might seeing one’s fundamental identity as biological undermine the gospel? Why would this have been a strong temptation for Jews in Paul’s day? What other things are we tempted to put our security in? Church attendance, good works, etc.?
