2 Corinthians 4:7–18:

Paul reminds believers that though we carry the treasure of the gospel in fragile “jars of clay” (our human weakness), God’s power shines through us. We may face hardship—pressed, perplexed, persecuted, and struck down—but we are never destroyed because Christ’s life sustains us. These trials reveal Jesus to the world and help others experience His life.

Paul encourages us not to lose heart: even when our outer body is wasting away, our inner spirit is being renewed daily. The troubles we face are temporary and light compared to the eternal glory awaiting us. Therefore, we fix our eyes not on what is seen (temporary suffering) but on what is unseen—the eternal hope and glory in Christ.
