There are over 2000 law colleges in India and over 50k law graduates in the legal profession.

But the majority go for litigation where settling in career is a tough job, especially for the first-generation lawyers. Many opt for the judiciary or corporate law jobs where vacancies are minuscule in comparison to such huge numbers of applicants.
