Bird flu is showing up in more places, and the outdoor industry can’t afford to treat it like someone else’s problem. We’re coming to you live from a Careers Expo, where we’re meeting students and talking about what it really takes to bring new people into outdoor guiding and outdoor leadership while keeping standards high and risks low. If you run trips, lead groups, teach outdoors, or manage venues, this is a practical check-in on what’s changing right now and what you can do about it. 

We walk through key sector updates, including training that supports better group outcomes (Facilitate With Intent and Lead With Intent), the current pause on the VET review, and the steady progress of the Australian Adventure Activity Standards (AAAS) and good practice guides.
