Edward James Adams was a notorious American criminal and spree killer in the early 1900s. He was involved in bootlegging, robberies, and car theft. Adams formed his own gang and committed bank and train robberies in the Midwest during the Prohibition era. He escaped custody multiple times and was involved in several shootouts with law enforcement. Adams was ultimately killed by police after a failed attempt to rent a car.
