EP02: "Outremer / Ultramarine"

Conçu à l'origine comme une simple transition, ce titre joue des rôles divers au sein du projet Sleeper Hits : Tropical Abstractions, selon qu'on le découvre dans la continuité du disque ou dans le contexte d'une projection du film. 

Exploration sonore de la surface et de la profondeur de l'océan, annonciatrice des thèmes d'autres épisodes du projet, "Outremer / Ultramarine" est aussi, dans sa version cinématographique, une ode à la couleur et aux origines complexes de ces pigments anciens.

Originally conceived as a simple transition, this track plays various roles within Sleeper Hits: Tropical Abstractions, depending on whether one discovers it in the continuity of the record or in the context of a film screening. 

A sonic exploration of the surface and depth of the ocean, heralding the themes of other episodes of the project, "Outremer / Ultramarine" is also, in its cinematic version, an ode to colour and the complex origins of these ancient pigments.
