At some point in church history, the very thing against which the writer to the Hebrews warned, quite severely, occured, and on a massive scale, and continues into today. It is the -camp- out from which the author calls for us to come, and to come to Jesus bearing his reproach. This is a theological and historical exhortation for all believers to embrace the holiness which is theirs within the exclusive, unique, and final priesthood of Jesus Christ.
