Included in this episode is commentary on the absurdity of covering Ball's experiences in Lithuania and his noticeable growth in Australia, as well as in-depth breakdowns of the process behind constructing each piece. 

In episode 3 of Outside the Looking Glass, Tia Mitchell, Washington correspondent for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, takes us through her career journey as a political reporter while discussing concepts of personal identity within journalism. Topics include: Mitchell's first-ever "journalism" award coming in second grade due to a book she'd written about fish; the intricacies of covering local vs. state governments; the concept of journalistic bias and how drawing on one's personal experience can actually help with becoming a better reporter; and deciding over time to stop code-switching as a black woman to appease the traditional prism of how a journalist should behave. 

In episode 2 of Outside the Looking Glass, Chapman University screenwriting major Matt Rogers describes life on the bottom of the hierarchy on a professional film set, featuring some of his most memorable experiences such as impromptu stunt driving, filming in an allegedly haunted house and witnessing actor Joel McHale purposefully set himself on fire. Outside the Looking Glass hosts New York City freelance photographer Jeremy Cohen, who speaks on his experience documenting Black Lives Matter protests and gives reflections on the ideas of performative activism and using his platform for positive change.
