Today we are going back to 1828 Edinburgh, Scotland! Where two men Burke & Hare turn death into a business. Killing 16 people, 12 women, 2 disabled children, and 2 men. They had a strict method and lured vulnerable individuals into their lodges, with the promise of a safe place to stay and alcohol. Why did they do this? They sold the bodies, for 7-10 pounds, for dissection. Do you think there were more than 16 victims?

Imagine going to the doctor for anxiety…

and leaving with an ice pick shoved through your eye socket.

In the 1940s and 50s, this wasn’t a horror movie plot. It was a medical procedure performed tens of thousands of times across the United States, often on women, children, and people who were simply considered “difficult.”

Rosemary Kennedy, president john f. Kennedys sister, had this procedure done on her to fix her mood swings and ended up permanently disabled. She was then left to rot in an institution for the rest of her life.
