There's seems to be a lot of discussion surrounding over correction and if the current generation of parents are over doing it in some areas. Speaking from personal experience, Tiara and Jaz can agree that culturally we had a lot of generational behaviors to correct. A lot of our "traditional" styles of discipline stemmed from slavery, and overall, we don't have much a cultural foundation. However, in some cases, we may be taking it too far. Our parents and grandparents were very hard on us, because they witnessed the road traveled to get us the basic human rights in this country. Even outside of the black community, we just saw what over correction on Capitol Hill looked like...are we over doing it?
