Christina sat on the edge of the hospital bed realizing her secret was being exposed. Christina had overcome so much. Born in Sudan to successful parents who had to flee when war broke out and live in a Kenya refugee camp.
Her family migrated to Dallas, Tx where Christina walked into a fourth grade class not able to read, write or speak English. Ridiculed by both white and black schoolchildren, Christina became determined to figure out her new culture.
There were many obstacles, yet Christina’s drive to succeed propelled her forward. Now a successful business improvement consultant with 5 college degrees, she has successfully integrated her African heritage with her new American culture.
And when the wheels fell off that day in the hospital, she realized most importantly how much God loves her. This podcast pairs well with Season 2 – Episode 3 at reconsiderchrist.com
